Accountability Where You At?

A cliché often used to provide an excuse for poor habits is the phrase, “ you are a product of your environment.” Starting today, I would like us revamp this phrase to state, “ Your environment is a product of your habits”. Once you put the control back in your court, your environment no longer has the power. It doesn’t matter where you come from, what truly matters is where you see yourself going. Habits can be formed anywhere between 18 to 254 days, it is completely up to you when determining how stubborn you will be in this process.

The law of attraction is founded upon the idea that your thoughts and habits form your future. For example, if you are hoping to have a successful business you will need to incorporate habits that lead to a profitable company. If your business fails, it has failed solely because of you and your thoughts and habits. The idea to hold yourself accountable is one that can be hard to understand and often a hard pill to swallow. Think to yourself, have my relationships failed because of me? Did the business not work because of something I did? Honestly, if this is the first time you are asking yourself these questions chances are the answer is yes.

At this point, you probably feel doomed and a complete failure. I am here to let you know you aren’t alone in this I have fell victim to my own habits as well. Where do we go from here? The first step to take is just to hold yourself accountable and recognize their may be some self-sabotage activity lingering in your life. Once we are able to identify we may be the problem, the hard part starts. Conscious thinking is the best solution going forward when you notice yourself doing negative habits that will only lead to a negative result or environment. One exercise I try to use is writing down the opposite of my negative thoughts and habits and transforming them to positive ones. Simply put, this is re-wiring your brain. Its just the beginning, this will not be an easy task or journey but it is so worth it.
