Single & Fully Committed

I am single, 31 and educated which is apparently every other black women in America. It may appear we are in high demand but the effort to be in the presence of someone like me is often missing from all relationships I have attempted to have. So what does someone do when everyone likes you but no one likes you enough??

You focus on you and steer clear from conversations that lead to talking about the future too far in advance. I believe there are phases we go through: phase 1: Looking for love in all the wrong places, phase 2: Falling in love with all the wrong people, phase 3: self- sabotage, phase 4: Acceptance and phase 5: its all about you. Phase 2 and 3 are probably the most detrimental phases I have gone through but I am grateful because it led me to the person I am today. Steer clear from conversations with your grandmother about how you should want to get married and have kids… those conversations will not help in these phases (insult to injury). Let your friends know when certain conversations are no longer on the menu to divulge in on a daily basis, if they like you enough they will respect your boundaries.

FOCUS ON YOURSELF….PREPARE FOR YOUR FUTURE AND LEARN TO LOVE THE MOMENT YOU ARE CURRENTLY IN. If it’s kids you want, prepare yourself for that and start taking pre-natal vitamins as if you were ready to pop one out this very second. Go to the doctor confirm its possible, which it will be and ask the doctor what are the steps you need to take to have a healthy pregnancy. If the doctor ask if you and your partner, husband/ boyfriend, wife/ girlfriend are trying…SAY YES (yes even if you are single, say yes). It sounds delirious so I wouldnt share with everyone but that’s the secret you create your happiness and focus on the emotion you feel when you say you are ready for a child…the emotion you feel sends out the positive frequency to the universe to place your order/ request.

We are our own worse enemy when we focus on what we don’t have, live and feel like you have it already….I live in LaLa Land half of the time because thats where magic happens and where the impossible becomes very possible. Fully commit to living in your future and watch your future become your present right before your eyes. Law of Attraction at its best...

Yours Truly,

Elle
