Social Media Unplug

In the mist of a tough situation I find myself always deactivating my instagram (thank God they made that an option) and unplugging all together. In college, I had a mentor that had such a big impact on my life. My mentor always told me during exam time or during anything important...go missing. Although she passed away a few years ago her legacy stays with me till this day. I translated exams as pretty much anything that you need to put all of your energy into whether it be recovering from a heartbreak or a life changing decision. I think of it as a very affordable rehab program similar to the ones celebs seem to go to after a public meltdown.

There will be tears and you will feel a sense of withdrawl. My suggestion is you wrap yourself up in self-improvement books, good positive music and a good journal. My success rate of getting over a guy or making good decisions is actually at about 85% with this method. You may be asking yourself why? How is this going to help me get over him or her? How am I going to be able to decide if I should leave my entire family and move 9 hours away? The list goes on...

Excuse me while I reminisce (que the violin), here is why because sociail media is full of lies, attention seekers and lost souls. You will scroll through while you bask in your misery through pictures of couples, moving days, game days, birthdays, kids going to school on the first, second and third day and it leaves you feeling empty (i.e. this is where the highly sensitve, dont forget the warrior comes in). If there ever was a time for you to stay off of social media it would be now. You are allotted about a week to feel bad for yourself but after that the ball is in your court on how this goes. There is no need to indulge in others lives that are more than likely a lie, why not spend that time getting these chakras together? Allow the universe to handle what I like to call your "lightweight"things/people you dont have control over. Always remember (note to self) you got this, this too shall pass and this will be the best decision you have ever made in your life. Go missing for a few, focus on yourself rather than what everyone else is doing in life.
